Inspired by Koyash salt Lake in Crimea. Considered by locals to have healing qualities, it is not widely known to tourists. Depending on the light, the salinity of the water and the presence of microscopic algae, the lake can appear to be anywhere between pink and scarlet. As the water of the lake evaporates, the salt in the lake crystallizes which, when stained with the lake’s algae, gives the salt a subtle scent of violet.
