Designing bespoke furniture often means good value and always means perfect scaling. It creates opportunities to collaborate with extraordinarily talented craftsmen and artisans worldwide and to explore combinations of fabulous finishes and materials.  It defines luxury simply by its originality.

A leather wrapped hallway console with refined detailing and form

We designed this mid-Century inspired hallway console with elegance and functional storage in mind.  Sitting on hand carved, curved ebonised legs, the slim drawers are wrapped in leather and finished with stitch detailing and bespoke bronze handles.

A pair of English walnut bedside tables

Why is it so hard to find the perfect bedside table?  Crafted for us in Somerset from solid English walnut, these tables are scaled for perfect height and width.  With hand carved reeded drawer fronts, antiqued had silvered mirror at the back to conceal light and charging cables and leather to line the shelf and drawer, we are confident they will be loved by our client for generations.

A practical shoe cupboard with a folk art inspired hand painted finish

We designed this simple shoe cupboard to feel like an old favourite, something that had been in the family for ages. 

An elegant bay window sofa

Needing to maximise seating space and wishing to move away from the more typical window seat solution, we designed an elegant free-standing sofa.

Fitting perfectly into this south facing bay window, the sofa was piped in fine leather and combines classical features with contemporary detailing.

Georgian style sofas

These Georgian-style sofas are perfectly scaled to the room, but it was our client’s leg length that ultimately determined the height and depth of the seat.  Wanting the sofas to appear well sat-upon over many years we plumped for under-filled soft feather down.

Arts and Crafts inspired chaise longue

We love creating interiors that appear to have developed over years.

In this country house bedroom, we re-introduced a Georgian timber pelmet board. Wishing to make the room more contemporary, we designed an Arts and Crafts inspired chaise longue.  It is upholstered in a plain linen with crisp and luxurious velvet contrast piping.  One cushion connects with the simple ticking from the bed valance and the other is made from an antique Lille tapestry fragment.

Library Table

Typical of our approach to budget and design, we sourced the decorative carved legs for this library table.  The legs were hand painted and distressed to work with the room palette.  We then commissioned a leather-wrapped table top, framed in antique brass to complete the piece.

Study desk

Positioned at an angle in this study, we designed this desk with a gentle curve.  Neat inlay details, an inset leather top and tapered legs incorporating cable management, combine to make this desk collector-worthy.

Kitchen island

This kitchen island spans 3.2 metres.  On one side it accommodates a totally bespoke kitchen range. 

We designed this to incorporate our client’s extensive collection of high-performance professional cooking appliances.  The bespoke ‘range’ element is clad in blackend steel and burnished stainless steel adorned with hand forged handles.  The aesthetic of the elevation facing the dining table is enhanced with the introduction of a series of book-matched burr walnut cabinets, precision edged in antique brass. By raising this long island from the floor, on blackened steel and antique brass legs, and by opening each end, this kitchen island becomes a time defying, elegant and well-proportioned furniture piece.
